    What’s the symbolism behing this robe? Can’t seem to find any information on the history for my Uni essay :(

  3. Hi Simone. This blanket (fron 1902) is one of the oldest blankets in our archives. It reflects our earliest loom capabilities, with a pattern of dashes and lines rather than arrows. Though the blankets of this era were woven to reflect the tastes and preferences of Native tribes, there are no specific symbolic stories associated with the earliest blankets.
